The Lost Bronze
To whom
for whom
out of whom
The Lost Bronze brings us closer to the invisible labour -generous lost endeavour- that takes places in the bronze casting process.
A celebration of clay and wax, often labeled as ‘humble materials’; as well as process over final product. The Lost Bronze is a metaphor for all the hidden contributions of women in general, and women of colour in particular, to our society.
The space within
inbetween
the inner
silently loud
voice of the how, the why
the mirror
The void within
the gaps to fill
albeit the emptier, the fuller
The traces
she left
the marks
I caught
the perfect combination
to be
at last
bronze
The space I left
you filled -
Stamp of generous love
one lost
you feel the warmth
you fill the void
The space I left
you fill
you feel it
Find me in your being
not without me
only because of me
a ghost,
together
not without
me
only because
of me
a ghost
for you
To whom
for whom
out of whom?
Radical hospitality
Amazing changes
to hold a stranger

A woman’s body

Do our bodies remember that
act of profound generosity that
created being?
The space I left
you fill
For you to be
at last
bronze
To whom
For whom
Out of whom
Radical hospitality
The traces she left
the marks I became
for you to be
bronze
at last
In the traces
the finger
marks
. prints
memories to touch
and connect
connect and thread. The thread
of that which gave you birth
